Semproniano

Semproniano became a feud already before the Mille doing the Aldobrandeschi family. Around half of the fourteenth century town became Senese domain until the sixteenth century, but won for a short period by the Spanish and then by the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. The country was following a period of neglect and decay up to be incorporated within the Municipality of Roccalbegna for a certain period. In recent times the village has been able to resume its autonomy.
